Are You Being Stupid About Website Traffic? [Serious Question]

Whether you are an affiliate marketer or a
product owner, then you should understand that
traffic is one of the keys to success.

Yes, I understand that conversions (turning
traffic into revenue) is more important,
however...

...without traffic you will have nothing to convert
into revenue!

So, if this is true, then why do so many of us
focus one dimensionally when trying to get
traffic?

We seem to have been brain washed by the term
'back links' (and more recently 'likes', 'shares',
'embeds', etc, which are in my opinion all the
same as back links when not used right) and so
much of our marketing efforts seem focused on
getting more of these 'back links', rather then
really understanding what we are even trying to
accomplish. Keep reading, this will make sense, I
promise :)

This has even transferred over into social media
and sites like YouTube and Facebook (as hinted
to by my reference to likes, shares and embeds).

These two traffic behemoths have the potential
to not only send huge amounts of traffic to your
websites but can also help provide incredible
search engine ranking boosts as well (most of
the time more so then back links from other
sites).

The problem is, so many of us look at these sites
like they are article directories of the past.
Simply sites to spam with poor quality content
that offer no value but are just attempts at trying
to get views, likes and shares to boost our
search engine rankings.

STOP BEING "TRAFFIC-STUPID"!

I am not trying to offend anyone here but
instead I am trying to give you a shake to wake
you from this hypnotic trance that so many of us
are in!

Whether you are trying to rank a blog or a
product you own on Amazon, you NEED to learn
how the sites you are using work and how you
can tap into their own huge sources of traffic.

So, lets look at Facebook as an example.

What many in the IM world do here is create
spammy Facebook pages on specific topics and
make a few page posts to the product the are
trying to promote, buy 5000 likes from
somewhere like Fiver and then cross their
fingers that magically something miraculous will
happen.

What is really happening here is the person is
not focusing at all on Facebook, but instead
hoping that by faking Facebook, they can fool
Google into thinking this page is legitimate and
will somehow get rankings and traffic from it.

Is that really how things work?

This is why you often read in forums or other
online communities about people crying how
these sites do not work.

Another perfect example of this that comes to
mind is Press Releases. I hear over and over
again from people that claim Press Releases do
not work. Well I can 100% say with full
confidence YES THEY DO!!!!

Again, it comes down to knowing how these
sites work and how to use them to get traffic. If
you are just submitting crap content in an
attempt to game the system, then your results
will suck, but if you understand how to really use
Press Releases, then your results can be
incredible.

The sad thing is, with almost any traffic source
(Facebook, YouTube, press releases, content
syndications and even article directories believe
it or not), if you understand how they work, and
spent just a little bit more time on creating
value, you can get amazing results.

How can you do this?

In the next few emails from me I am going to be
sharing that with you.

Do not worry I am not selling anything here,
instead I am simply wanting to help and in the
next few emails I want to change your thinking
about website traffic, and help you to create for
yourself a plan that actually works and this
needs to be broken up into bite size chunks.

I do have one little favor to ask of you however,
and I am giving away something special just for
answering a simple question. To help me ensure
that I am targeting this email series properly (so
I can give you the most value I can), I ask that
you answer a simple question and in return I will
give you a chance for a hundred dollar amazon
card (pretty cool when it will only take you 15
seconds to answer).

also get yourself a chance at a pretty cool gift.

Look for my next email next Thursday :)

P.S. These emails are going to help you no
matter what you are wanting to promote online
and will work for you regardless of wheter you
are the owner of the product or an affiliate
marketer.
